Anderson, Donald K. "University Recognition." N.p., 16 Apr. 2014. Web. 27 Apr. 2014.

Coy, Harold. "Chapter 24 Fed Up." Chicano Roots Go Deep. New York: Dodd, Mead, 1975. N. pag. Print.
Annotation: In this chapter it really showed the foundation of Mexican-American organizations especially what led to the Brown Berets. Chavez who was sort of their leader and activist wanted to have more farming rights for young Chicano's and ended up saying that their were lots of riots that led to a lot of Chicano causalities. This had great relevance to sort of lay out a foundation for the movement.
Garcia, Mario T. "Lessons from the Chicano Anti-war Movement." National Catholic Reporter. National Catholic Reporter, 30 Aug. 2010. Web. 27 Apr. 2014.
Annotation: This source mainly talked about the mass protest for the Vietnam War. Many Chicano casualties caused a problem for them that led to a drowning of funds for education and anti-poverty. Having a large number of casualties over regular white american males proves to have a gap in the concept of equality for young Chicano's.

Shane, C. J. The Mexicans. Farmington, MI: Greenhaven, 2005. 121-41. Print.
Annotation: From this book, you can learn that Latinos and Mexican-Americans wanted to be known as Chicano's. Also, Chicano's had the highest dropout rate for any race group and on average earn an income of 50% less than an average american which proves that an entire race is not being lived up to the same standards. Finally, Cesar Chavez wanted recognition for Chicano farm workers, a large number of Chicano's were dying in the Vietnam war and many women in their race were especially lacked of power.

Valdemar, Richard. "Chicano Power and the Brown Berets." - Gangs. Police Mag, 11 Oct. 2011. Web. 25 Apr. 2014.
Annotation: This was a secondary source because it was written way after the effects of the YCCA movement, but he was also from he time period. I thought this was good source to add extra details and sort of closure for the movement.
